Train for the Games

The Summer Olympics games are just around the corner! What does an athlete have to do to train for the games? The same things you need to do to train for baseball, swimming, volleyball, archery, or any other sport! Join the Air Zoo to investigate the science behind hand-eye coordination, center of gravity and balance, lung capacity, and much more as you get ready for an active summer. Continue your training under extreme conditions by experiencing the effects of weightlessness as you practice for a future of sports in space!

Seed Bombs

What are seed bombs?  Three parts clay to one part compost to one part seed, seed bombs can be made in the winter and planted in the spring.  How do you plant them?  Throw or drop them wherever you'd like them to take root.  They won't blow away or be eaten by birds (we've read) and will sprout once they get wet.  Come to the Library during Ice Fest and we'll help you make some!
